About us!

We are a farm themed day out based in East Lothian, where kids and grown-up's can play and learn together!

We have all sizes of Go-Karts, Pedal Tractors, Crazy Bikes, 4 Level Fortress with Slides, Sand Pit, Play park, Sledging Slope, Hay barn, Trampolines, Jelly Bellies, Musical Maze, 18 Hole Crazy Golf* and of course our Safari Train which takes you through the fields to meet our friendly animals! 

On the farm we have Cows, Highland Cows, Sheep, Goats, Pigs, Horses, Donkeys, Deer, Chickens, Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Rhea, Geese, Ducks, Prairie Dogs, Llamas and Wallabies!

To guarantee your space, tickets must be bought online prior to visiting. During busy periods, weekends and holidays tickets may sell out.

All the activities within the park are included in your ticket!

The only extra once you are here is 50p tokens for a cup of animal food or for a golf ball.

Food & Drink

Our new look John Muir Cafe on site is open daily from 10-4 serving hot and cold drinks and food. Peak times can be busy so there may be a wait for a table or food on busier days. Hot food is served until around 1 hour before closing.

*During the quieter winter months the may close early. Please speak to their team on your visit for more details

Cold drinks, snacks and ice creams are also available in reception.

 

Picnics are also welcome at our outdoor picnic benches or our indoor picnic barn!

There is a train station in Dunbar. The bus stop it just outside it where you can catch the X7 or the 120 to the East Links Stop. The X7 runs half hourly and takes 20 minutes to get to our stop.

EAST LINKS FAMILY PARK We are open from 10am - 4pm during winter. Your tickets are for the whole day, so you can arrive anytime and play as long as you like! On average families stay 3-5 hours. Santa singalongs and the elf station for the free gifts run from 11.30-3.30. Tickets should be booked online. Weekend dates are expected to sell out. Members and Prepaid ticket holders do not need to book. If you are bringing along someone who doesn’t have one, they must be booked online. We have 50p tokens for golf balls or animal food.   • Can I buy Memberships/Annual Passes?
    Annual memberships can be bought at the park when you visit. This saves you money if you visit more than 4 times a year. All details are as follows; Joining fees: £70 each for an Adult or Child £56 for concessions such as Disabled/ Carer/ OAP £35 for a 2 Year Olds Up to 24 months are free *PRICES HAVE INCREASED FROM 4TH MARCH 2024 Each member will receive an individual ID card which requires a passport sized photo. (These don't have to be passport quality and can be printed off a computer) For each member visiting the park you then pay £1 per visit. Memberships are valid for 12 months from date of purchase. Other terms and conditions apply. Members will also receive 8 x 20% discount vouchers to give to friends and families for the park. _______ If you have booked day tickets for the park and decide to upgrade before you leave, your ticket cost will be take off the price of your membership. This offer is only valid if you upgrade on the day of your visit.
  • What are your opening times?
    We are open from 10am - 5pm every day from February to November and 10am - 4pm in the winter. We close on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years day. We also may close for a couple of weeks in January or February for essential park maintenance, the exact dates for this will be posted on our facebook page close to the time.
  • Do you need to book? Can you pay at the door?
    Tickets can be bought at the door, however it is cheaper to book online. If tickets are SOLD OUT there will be no tickets available at the door. Book online to guarantee you will get a space!   • What animals do you have?
    Sheep, Goats, Pigs, Highland Cows, Deer, Donkeys, Horses, Chickens, Ducks, Rhea, Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Wallabies AND our very cheeky Llamas!
  • Can you feed the animals?
    Yes! our animals are very friendly and will come up to meet you for a snack and a head scratch! Animal food costs 1 x 50p token per cup, and is suitable for all our large animals. Animals can only be fed with the animal feed provided on the farm. Food which is not part of their normal diet can cause upset tummies and even be dangerous to animals. Do not bring your own food for the animals.
  • Do you have a cafe?
    There is a cafe on site, serving hot and cold food and drinks. It can be busy so there may be a wait for a table on peak days. Hot food served till approx 1 hour before closing. During the quieter winter months the John Muir Cafe may close early. Please speak to their team on your visit for more details Picnics are also welcome at our outdoor picnic benches or our indoor picnic barn!

  • Do you allow dogs?
    Although we all love dogs and they are part of the family, unfortunately they cannot visit the park, as it is too stressful for the livestock to see unfamiliar dogs. There are kennels that can be used during your visit with a £5 deposit for a padlock. The cafe also has a dog lounge when they can join you for lunch.
  • Can children visit without an adult?
    Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children must not be left unattended at the park - adult supervision at all times.
  • What age group is East Links Family Park best for?
    All ages! Our activities are best suited to kids between ages 2 - 12, however we also get many children younger and older than this who tell us they've had a brilliant time. Everything in the park is designed to be enjoyed by adults too, so that children can experience playing and learning with their parents!
  • How often does the train go?
    Our train goes around the park to see the animals. The first train of the day is at 11am, and runs regularly throughout the day (this will be more often on busy days). The last train of the day it a 4pm. Children must be accompanied by an adult on the train.
  • How long does it take to visit East Links Family Park?
    Your tickets are for the whole day, so you can arrive anytime and play as long as you like! On average families stay 3-5 hours, But many arrive at opening and don't leave until we close! (10am - 5pm)
  • Do you sell gift vouchers?
    Day ticket and annual memberships are available as vouchers to give as a gift. These can be bought over the phone or in person. Day tickets vouchers can be used any time within 1 year of purchase. Membership vouchers can be redeemed within 6 months. The membership then lasts 1 year from the date you redeem the voucher.
  • Do you have a discount for NHS, Blue light card, or SPRA members?
    NHS, Blue Light card and SPRA members receive 20% discount on day tickets with their NHS ID and/or SPRA Card or blue light card .   • Can I change my ticket date?
    Eventbrite does not allow for date changes. However in extreme circumstances we may be able to enter an Emergency request for you through their site. Please send an email with your 'Order Number' if this is the case. Tickets cannot be changed due to wet weather. On wet days remember to dress warm, wear sensible shoes and a spare pair of socks for the trampolines!
  • Do you do birthday parties?
    We currently don't have any extra activities for birthdays, but we do offer group discounts! For groups from 10-24 people you can book using the Group Rate on Eventbrite. For groups of 25 or more people please get in touch by phone or email to get the best discount. Please be aware that adults do need their own ticket and children must be supervised in all areas of the park.
  • Is the park wheelchair friendly?
    The farm is on flat ground, and is paved with gravel. All the buildings have ramps. The train has a ramp which can be brought out by asking the train driver. We have mobility scooters which can be borrowed, just ask at reception. We also have electric assist family go-karts for people with mobility issues. Click here for our full access statement.
  • How much is the train?
    The Train and all the activities are included in your ticket price! The only extra is our 50p tokens for a cup of animal food, or for a golf ball.
  • Can you bring a buggy?
    Yes you can bring buggy's to the park. You are also able to pop in and out to the car park if wish to put your buggy away.
  • Can you pay with card/cash?
    The reception, shop and cafe all accept both card and cash. To purchase tokens in the park (for animal food or golf balls only), there are machines around the park which take any change, plus one in the shop which will change notes to coins. We can also sell tokens in the shop via card if you have no cash.
  • Do you have Events? Christmas/Halloween/Easter
    We do!   • What shoes should you wear? Footwear?
    The park is mostly gravel paths so any trainers or boots are fine. Perhaps wellies on wet days for any puddles! We would NOT recommend heels, sandals, dress shoes, or any footwear and clothing that you would like to keep nice. You will be running, sliding, peddling and playing! (grown-ups too!)
  • How to buy Concession/Carer/OAP/Disabled tickets?
    When booking online through Eventbrite, choose the 'Concession' ticket option if you fit into one of these categories. We offer a discount to both children with disabilities and to their carer, just choose the 'Concession' option for both tickets.
